Stewardship Sundays emerged as a way to keep stewardship alive throughout the year and not just during the Annual Renewal and Festival of Ministries. Having one weekend a month gives parishioners an opportunity to focus on the many facets of stewardship and to keep stewardship as a continued way of life. When the Stewardship Sundays first started, there was a different theme every month from Time, Talent and Treasure to Love, Honor, and Answering God's Call. The committee decorated the vestibules, hung banners inside and outside the church. The lectors announced the stewardship focus for the month. The Prayers of the, Faithful reflected upon stewardship and a Stewardship Prayer or song became part of the Sunday Mass. Some months, a Stewardship Meditation is read after Communion. For the past three years, the Stewardship Committee has used one theme for the entire year and has added an antependium to the altar. By having done this, the parish community is consistently reminded to "Renew Your Commitment to Christian Stewardship". Indeed, this has become a very rewarding experience for St. Agnes Parish.
